DETAIL
Wireless connectivity is at the heart of the Internet of Things (IoT). Currently common connection methods include Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Mesh, Zigbee, Thread, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, and various proprietary protocols using the Sub-GHz frequency band. For applications with lower transmission rates, such as industrial sensing, sub-GHz networks operating at frequencies below 1GHz have advantages over more powerful and feature-rich 2.4GHz protocols. Sub-GHz wireless systems can provide longer transmission distances, lower power consumption, and lower deployment and operating costs.
